CL Foster

What was the first book you ever wrote and what inspired you?
My first book was Bluffing the Devil and it was inspired by a dream I had. It was racy and sexy and scary… I woke up and immediately jotted notes about it in my dream journal. Later, I called my best friend and told her about it and she was like “dude, that could be an amazing book. You should totally be an author. Write me a chapter.” So… I did and then, it just spiraled out of control from there.

Can you tell us about your work including titles and share your amazon links?
Sure! I write in many genres, but mostly paranormal, historical, and thriller at this point (all of my books has a taste of romance as well). is my Amazon link 🙂

What drew you in to the romance genre?
Ummm, nothing did. I find that there is romance in most situations as, as humans, we tend to see and strive for that in most situations. Even if its from a protective place.. you know?

Is romance your favorite genre to read as well as write?
Yes and no. I love romance, but am typically drawn to mysteries or things about history… with love in them also. hehe

Can you tell me something about yourself that may surprise your readers?
I speak 7 languages and have 13 tattoos. I’m weird (but I am SURE they know that already. lol)

Are you excited to be a part of the upcoming Ropin Romance event?
Naturally!! SO many awesome authors that I am blessed to call friends… and awesome prizes.. and just YAY!

What do you to to help with writers block?
Though I might strike up ire in my fellow authors.. I don’t have writer’s block. Things play out in my head like a movie. If, for some reason, I just am not feeling the story, I write something else. I dont stay stuck on something. I move around. That’s probably why I dont get blocked. I dont sit still long enough to bother with that. lol

If you had to choose three words to describe what type of writer you are what would they be?
sassy, fierce, funny

What is your author pen name and do you have more than one?
I write as CL Foster right now, in the past, I wrote as Sierra Sofia (when I wrote erotica). No need for all that now. I just write as me. Take it or leave it 😉

If you had to pick a favorite author who would it be?
Starla Huchton. Hands down. She writes all kinds and I just love her brain.

Since many of the readers that will be seeing this interview and participating in the takeover will be new fans. If you had to describe your writing style and books in a single sentence what would it be?
Sassy ninja that strives to balance light and darkness regularly.
