Sadie Character Interview – (Feels Like Love) N.D. Jackson

Here is the character interview with Sadie from N.D. Jackson’s book Feels Like Love!

Biggest musical inspiration:
I love powerful female voices like Nina Simone, Janis Joplin, Whitney Houston and most recently, Adele. They all have different sounds but you feel their pain, their joy and their love in every lyric. I aspire to be like them, to make people feel the way those women made me feel.

Where was your favorite place to live?
Before I crash landed in Mustang Prairie I would have said New Orleans. Something about the city is so electric, so vibrant and creative. But Mustang Prairie has a way of pulling you in and making you wonder how you ever enjoyed living in the big city. Except when everyone in town asks you when  you’re going to start having babies.

If you could change one moment in your life, what would it be?
The old Sadie would have said she would change the moment my mom died but I don’t think that would have changed much, only delayed the inevitable. If I could change one moment it would have been that moment I decided to keep Dylan as a friend. I could have had that much more time with him. Loving him. I can hardly remember the moment but in a flash I decided to put myself in the Friend Zone.
Yeah, I want that moment back Universe.

When will you and Dylan tie the knot?
(Shrugs) If work slows down and I find the perfect dress then maybe by the end of the year. We fell in love over the
Christmas holidays so maybe a white wedding?

Favorite cocktail:
Old fashioned. Lots of flavor, kind of sweet and it packs one hell of a punch!

Favorite place to eat in Mustang Prairie:
Carla’s Cupcakery. Hands down the absolute best cupcakes on the planet. Especially the things that woman can do with wine and frosting!
