Here is my author interview with Cherime MacFarlane for The Multi Genre, Multi Day Themed Event. We will be highlighting her MacGrough Series which starts with book one Highland Light so make sure to grab your copy today!

What made you choose to write in the romance genre?
I love happy endings. And love does make the world go around. PS I do write other genres.

How many books do you currently have out and which one would you recommend new readers start with?
I have over twenty out now. When the publisher gets the balance of the MacGrough series out it will be over thirty books.

Do you enjoy reading romance books as much as you like t write them?
Yes.

If you could co-write a new romance book with any other author who would you choose and why?
Gosh! That’s a hard one. It’s a toss up between Linda Lee Williams or Nikki Lynn Barrett or Michele Gwynn.

How do you think you have grown as an author from the time when you first started until now?
That’s a hard one to answer because I have but how to describe it is the problem.

If you had to describe the life of an author in three words what would you choose?
Coffee, work try to stay off Facebook, eat, work, sleep write, try to sleep. Get up and do it all over again.

Do you have any recent literary news that you would like to share with us? Yes, Very soon The Other Side of Dusk is going to come out. A historical set in Scotland about 150s C.E. “A boy sold as a slave is used by a Roman woman to get pregnant so the master may have an heir. But it all backfires when an old soldier who serves her household takes pity on the boy. He teaches him to fight and when the child is born, helps the slave escape with his son. He is home but…his people aren’t sure he is fit to take his father’s place when the time comes. The Picts are ready to revolt against Roman rule and the Scotti may be caught in the middle. To make matters worse, the master is seeking his stolen son.”

How long on average does it take you from start to finish to release a new book?
That depends on what is going on at the time. But I have been know to get a book out in a couple of months.

What book or books do you plan on promoting during your romance themed day takeover?
Then They Were Six, Mile 43.3 Richardson Highway and Deirdre of the Sorrows.

If you could give your younger self one piece of advice when it came to being an author what would you say and why?
Don’t let those ideas you had get lost again.
